Fantastic haul!! You know you’ll have plenty to entertain yourself for quite a while :)

I will! I will! I…

Something, something, bitten, chew.

Here are the GNs (after some consideration, I decided I’d only count perfect-bound stuff as GNs, so you only see 19 here):

Here are the comics, the zines, the book, and the RPG adventure:

As the LOML said, “I detect a theme.” There are at least eighteen books here that I would class as horror or horror-adjacent, and that’s without counting the benefit book for the Las Vegas shooting. A couple are explicitly crime stories.

(The ones that aren’t in either category are anthologies/collections or the story of a history student who gets stuck in 1864 Japan after a time-travel mishap and has to disguise herself as a samurai.)

I’ve read five of the GNs (and the RPG adventure) already, and started on another three. (Plus finished two magazines and an entirely different RPG that I had with me. It is really nice to get uninterrupted reading time.)

Marking off those that I’ve finished reading, the GNs:

And the comizines:

I have been accused of reading fast, on occasion. I have not quite internalized this, if it’s true.

…add three comics, four zines, eight graphic novels, and an RPG adventure.

…add nine more GNs and a book.

When it comes time to put all these into GoodReads Imma cry a little.

“What Fear Said”

Written by Steven “Shaggy” Shanahan and illustrated by Katie Shanahan for the Valor Comic Anthology

(You can get this excellent 300+ pg anthology ebook for $5 here)

I’m heading to TCAF today, so this seemed like an appropriate thing to post.

(No laptop for the weekend.)
