Colors that I’m Wearing:
Green, blue, bit of black.
Last Band That I Saw Live:
The last one I am sure about is Lindsey Stirling. I can’t remember if I’ve seen anyone since; I don’t think so.
Last Song I Listened To:
“Black Cowboys” by Bruce Springsteen.
Lipstick or Chapstick:
Chapstick more often, but both rarely.
Last Movie I Watched:
Creed II. It was interesting, because it’s clearly riffing most strongly on the Rocky IV movie, and I don’t remember seeing that one at all (although I do remember an old MAD Magazine’s parody of it). You know that feeling you get when you watch something and you can tell by how it’s shown that it’s a reference, the same way you can hear the capitals when someone’s speaking sometimes? There was a lot of that, which was neat. Also compelling characters.
Last movie in theaters:
Spider-Man: Far From Home.
Last 3 TV Shows I Watched:
1. better things
2. The Rook
3. Claws
Last YouTube Video I Watched:
A trailer for the 1972 movie Silent Running. (It was mentioned in the footnotes of a Frank Castle & Bucky Barnes fancomic.)
3 Characters I Identify With:
1. Chidi Anagonye (of The Good Place)
2. Pearl (of Steven Universe)
3. Mightily Oats (that’s The Quite Reverend Mightily-Praiseworthy-Are-Ye-Who-Exalteth-Om Oats of Discworld)
Books I’m Currently Reading
*cracks knuckles*
Actively reading (as in, will be done by Friday):
The GN collection of Black Panther: Long Live The King by Nnedi Okorafor
Revenant Gun by Yoon Ha Lee
Unlikely Story 12: Unlikely Academia (because I do need to read something that isn’t for the Hugos)
(Check back with me next week to see what I’m reading then! I have a Lauren Beukes GN about the kids who survived 80s horror movies, years later when they’ve all grown up. I am so looking forward to that one.)
Working through more slowly:
Where We Live: Las Vegas Shooting Benefit Anthology
The Stone Sky by N.K. Jemisin
Codes of the Underworld: How Criminals Communicate by Diego Gambetta
The Weird: A Compendium of Strange and Dark Stories, edited by Ann and Jeff VanderMeer
