On one hand ‘Cool motive, still murder’ but on the other, I wouldn’t be too upset if investigators were a bit distracted by a particularly interesting looking rock on the sidewalk, you get what I’m saying.
As it’s fiction, I get to agree with you, rather than being filled with all the feelings that are naturally engendered by “some white dude with no training decided who should die, hope he didn’t make any mistakes on those calls.”
(As it’s fiction, I also get to complain about the use of the word “spree”. Does an average of six months seem like almost no cooling down period? I understand that “laceration” is a lousy cause, but come on people, words mean things.)
