I honestly don’t think I properly internalized how frustrating Tumblr could be until I tried to export my blog. I have had the little “Backup processing…” message appearing for over two weeks now, and yes it appears when I log in on e.g. a different machine, and there doesn’t appear to be a way to force it to restart.
I’d contact support, but I’m a little overwhelmed in terms of everything I need to stay up to date on right now, so it’s going to have to wait.
On the plus side, this has made me very deeply appreciate AO3, WordPress, DreamWidth, GoodReads, Ravelry… Bless ‘em all.
