I have 175 unread AO3 notifications in my inbox. Overwhelmingly, these are “so-and-so has posted” messages.

I have 379 unread emails in my inbox.

This means AO3 notifications are 46.17% of my primary “oh right I should follow up on that” bucket.

There is going to be a lot of reading.

(also, if any of my fics are on your “I should read that” list, and there is the tiniest bit of guilt (like the guilt I am feeling) a about not getting to them yet? I absolve you. You owe me nothing. It’s okay.)

I have 149 unread AO3 notifications in my inbox.

Out of 288 unread emails.

So yes, AO3 notifications are up to 51.74% of my undealt-with email. More than half.

There will come a reckoning.

I am finally watching last week’s episode of The Flash.

There’s a particular tone of voice I end up saying “Barry” in when Barry does something… understandable, relatable even, not necessarily unadmirable (although I felt it tended that way in this case), and yet ultimately unhelpful.

I have used this tone of voice again. It feels comfortingly familiar. ♥️⚡
